When is the right time to work with a VA?
This is another common question. The best way to know this, is when you are beginning to spend so much time on the detail tasks that you no longer have time to work on the vision or big projects for your business. If you’re so caught up in the details that all you can do is maintain, then you NEED a VA. By passing off these details to a VA and focusing on the vision and growth of your business – you will be able to take your business to the next level.
HOW do I get started with a VA once I know it’s right?
Another great question – here are a few tips.
- Spend time (maybe a week to a month) creating a list of things you are doing that you don’t need or want to be doing anymore. Make sure to track the time it takes you to do these things.
- Create another list of things you’d LIKE to have done but don’t have a clue how.
- Make a list of attributes you would like to see in your VA. This is very important, and should be looked at during an interview to see if you are a good fit.
- Check references after the interview.
- DON’T pick a plan that will cost you so much money that you can’t afford to work with that VA very long. You won’t see benefits from working with a VA after a month or two – this is a long time relationship you’re starting.
- Be prepared to sign a contract with this VA – she is running a business too and she will most likely have one.
