Why a VA and not an employee?
If you have enough work for a full time employee – then maybe that is the right avenue. Most clients do not have enough work at first for a full time employee and they also need someone who is familiar with getting things done fast.
In truth- when you pay a FTE 40 hours a week, PLUS insurance, PLUS disability, etc – they cost MUCH more than the hourly rate you think of. You pay for space, computer equipment, software, etc.
A VA comes fairly equipped with software, all hardware, and their own space. In addition, they are independent contractors – so you don’t pay insurance or any other extra expenses. Add to that how fast they can accomplish activities – and a VA is really LESS EXPENSIVE than a VA.
